What kind of activities does Capital Region
Singles sponsor? Regularly scheduled monthly
events include one Afterwork Gathering, typically
the first Thursday of the month. However, this
schedule is subject to change, particularly around
holidays, please check the Calendar page (Click
HERE) for the current schedule &

out to dinner, play pinochle, attend a concert or a
performance, and have a house party at a member's home.
Check out the Activities page (Click HERE) for a longer

How much does it cost to join Capital Region
Singles? Annual membership dues are

What does my membership fee
include? Members receive Capital Region
Singles's monthly newsletter that contains
information about upcoming activities. They also receive
a directory that includes a list of interests for each
member. (Members control what information about
them, if any, is listed in the
directory.) Members also pay a lower fee for many
events. For example, the fees for the monthly
Pinochle night might be $2.00 for members & $4.00
for non-members. This money covers the host's
cost of paper & plastic products, soft drinks, &
small prizes for the winners. The higher fee for
non-members is to encourage people to join Capital
Region Singles and recognizes that members have "already
paid" $25 annual dues. As noted, the fees for
events are set to cover costs with no profit. Of
course event fees vary, depending upon the
event.
Back

Must I be a member to attend
events? No. Non-members may attend most
activities, but members often pay less for
events. Please review the answer immediately
above for an example of the fees. Events are
priced to cover costs.
